The Belmond Hotel Caruso is a five-star luxury hotel located in Sorrento, Italy. The hotel’s architecture was inspired by the Villa La Rotonda in Tuscany, designed by Andrea Palladio. The hotel has been described as “an elegant retreat” by Condé Nast Traveler and “one of the most romantic hotels” by Travel + Leisure.
The hotel was designed to resemble a 19th-century Italian villa, with its main building constructed from volcanic stone and marble and surrounded by gardens and fountains. The property offers two restaurants — Il Cortile and La Terrazza — as well as an indoor swimming pool and terrace overlooking the Gulf of Naples.

The Borgo Finocchieto is a Tuscan villa and garden located in the town of Gaiole in Chianti. The building was designed by architect Mario Botta and completed in 1995. The Villa was built on the site of an earlier farmhouse which had been owned by the Poggi family since 1667. It is named after its last owner, Baron Ugo Finocchieto, who died in 1981.
The gardens were designed by landscape architect Gilles Bruna and include a variety of floral species from all over the world including camellias, rhododendrons and magnolias.
